'Varsity Baseball Practice.

Yesterday afternoon the 'Varsity ball nine devoted most of the daily practice to batting. After practicing at the nets for a short while they went down to the diamond and, with the College nine in the field and Dowd, the old Georgetown pitcher, pitching for them, the nine indulged in a regular game with the exception that they did not take the field when three outs had been made. Later on in the afternoon the regular fielding practice was gone through with. The work was much more encouraging than last week and the men seemed to put more snap in their work.
