The Republican Band.

The Republican Band, which has been rehearsing during the last two weeks for the parade tonight is now in good practice. The band is virtually the same as that which was started last spring and played at the baseball games, with a new name and several new members.

The uniforms arrived yesterday. They are quite different from those which will be worn by the different classes. Instead of caps and gowns, helmets with gilt trimmings and short bright red coats with white trimming will be worn. White duck trousers complete the uniform.

There are about thirty men in the band, and, considering the short time there has been for rehearsals, a large number of pieces have been learned. The band will march at the head of the Harvard section of the parade.

The members of the band are as follows:

Cornets-Baumer (leader), Patterson, McKusick, Merriam, Bement, Marden, Capen, G. Dow, F. Dow, von Briesen.

Altos-Bowles, Bell, Brown, Welch.

Clarionet-Wilson.

Trombones-Beher, Souther, Lamson, Lyman, MacKusick.

Tubas-Fairbank, Moore.

Oboe-Rumford.

Picolos-Woese, Black.

Snare Drums-Verveer, Hovey.

Bass drum and cymbals-Stensland.
