Yesterday afternoon Harvard defeated Wesleyan 28 to 0 in a well-played and snappy game. Not until the second half, however, was enthusiasm aroused among the spectators, but then the rushing of Cozzens, Dunlop and Sullivan evoked hearty applause. In the first half the line men held very well on the defensive, but when it came to offensive work they did not play as well as the men who went in the second half.

The game throughout was full of punting. The ball was in Harvard's possession most of the time, and it was only through good punting, especially in the second half, that Wesleyan could gain ground.

The game started off with the ball in Wesleyan's possession, but with the wind in favor of the Harvard team.

On the kick-off Warren caught the ball and made five yards before being tackled. Cabot then kicked to the middle of the field and Raymond made ten yards for Wesleyan before being downed. Wesleyan then made an attempt at bucking the line, but this proved futile and Raymond was forced to kick. With the ball on Harvard's 35-yard line, Cabot punted to Wesleyan's 20-yard line. Here Wesleyan fumbled and a Harvard man dropped on it. Then by a series of rushes between tackles and ends Harvard carried the ball to Wesleyan's ten-yard line. Here Warren fumbled, but a few minutes afterwards Harvard obtained the ball again because of the poor passing of the Wesleyan quarterback. Warren was then pushed over the line for a touch-down and Cabot kicked the goal.

Wheeler caught the ball on the kick off and rushed ten yards before being downed. The ball was carried down to Wesleyan's twenty-five-yard line, but here Harvard lost the ball through off side play.

Wesleyan then kicked and Cabot caught the ball in the middle of the field. From there the ball was rushed through tackles and centre to Wesleyan's three yard line, but Harvard was unable to advance any farther and Wesleyan got possession of the ball on four downs. Here Raymond tried to kick but Harvard blocked the ball and obtained a safety. Score, Harvard 8, Wesleyan 0.

The ball was then taken out to the twenty-five yard line and punted to the middle of the field where Lewis caught it. From there Cabot, Warren and Livermore rushed it over the line for another touchdown without once losing possession of it. Cabot failed to kick the goal. A few minutes after this time was called with the ball in Wesleyan's possesion on her 35 yard line. Score, Harvard 12, Wesleyan 0.

In the second half, with a new set of line men and backs, Harvard found but little trouble in scoring. In just three rushes after the kick-off, Cozzens went over the line for a touchdown. The ball was carried over very near the side line and in trying to punt out was fumbled. Score, 16 to 0.

The remainder of the game was merely a contest of rushing on the part of the Harvard men and of kicking on the Wesleyan side. During this period Harvard manged to score twice more on touchdowns by Dunlop and Sargent. Captain Wrightington went to Princeton to see the Princeton and Carlisle Indian game. During his absence Beale ran the team.
