Inasmuch as nearly all of the men who have formerly played in the whist tournaments have either left college or have decided not to enter this year, it is very necessary, if good material is to be developed for the Yale match this year and next, that all who are interested in whist should enter the tournament.
The committee, therefore, wish to urge all whist players who have not yet signed the blue-book at Bartlett's to do so at once.
Owing to the short time given to prepare for the Yale match, no extension will be given in the time of making entries, but they will close sharply at 6 p. m. on Friday next.
