PHILADELPHIA, June 4, 1895. - Charles C. Harrison today made a donation of $500,000 to the University of Pennsylvania in honor of his father, the late George Leib Harrison, L.L.D. This gift was presented at the monthly meeting of the trustees of the university. Mr. Harrison, who has for the past year been acting provost since the retirement of Dr. Wm. Pepper, was elected provost.
