NEW LONDON, CONN., June 3. - The Harvard 'varsity and freshmen crews were on the river today and put in time at short rows. Watson coached the 'varsity eight and Kidder the freshman. The weather is quite cool, a thunder shower this afternoon lowering the temperature very much. The crews are in good condition. The launch arrived yesterday and was made use of today.
