LONDON, June 18. - The Cornell crew rowed over the full Henley course for the first time last evening. The regular racing crew were in the boat and pulled at the rate of 45 strokes to the minute most of the way, finishing with a spurt of 48. Capt. Bradshaw and Mr. Stillwell of the London Rowing Club witnessed the trial, and agreed that the pace maintained was excellent, though they thought the conditions highly favorable. The course was covered in 6 minutes and 15 seconds.
Today the crew, comprising Roe, Hamilton, Hager, Freeborn, Shape, Bentley, Louis and Hall (stroke), were out, but did not do much work, only going a short distance below Fawley Court and back, and then turning down stream a little way. Manager Francis observed that Freeborn was clipping his stroke somewhat at the finish.
