The indoor championships of New England were held Saturday evening under the auspices of the Worcester Athletic Club, and the meeting was full of good racing.

In the forty yards dash A. L. Jackson '95 won first place in 4 4/5 seconds. F. H. Bigelow '98 won second place. C. J. Paine '96 won the high jump with a jump of 5 ft. 8 in. W. E. Putnam, Jr., '96 was second. J. D. Phillips '97 won second place in the mile walk.

In addition to the championship events there were two team races, in which the Worcester Academy beat the high school and the W. A. C. beat the Worcester Tech.

M. F. Sweeney, champion high jumper of the world, cleared the bar at 6 ft. 3 in.
