The trial debate held last night in Sever 11, resulted in the choice of C. A. Duniway Gr., of the Harvard Union; W. E. Hutton '95, of the Wendell Phillips Club; and F. Dobyns '98, of the Freshman Debating Club, as Harvard's representatives in the joint debate with Princeton. J. C. Rowe '95 was chosen alternate.

The debate was one of the best trial debates ever held at Harvard. The number of contestants was large and their speeches were unusually good. Among the speakers were C. A. Duniway, A. P. Stone and W. E. Hutton, who have represented Harvard in former intercollegiate debates.

The question was: "Resolved, That if it were possible, a reasonable property qualification in the exercise of the municipal franchise in the United States would be desirable."

The judges were Professors Williston and Cummings, Mr. J. J. Hayes and Mr. G. P. Baker.
