Ten men, paced by a tandem, started on the Cycling Association run yesterday over the course for the race on November sixth. The course is from the Gymnasium to Belmont by way of Brattle street and Concord avenue, and return through Waverly, over Payson Hill and along Mt. Auburn street. The road was in excellent condition, being hardened by the recent rain and the run was a spurting match from the start to the finish. The tandem and three other men gradually drew ahead and notwithstanding a collision of two wheels that delayed them a few minutes, arrived back in Cambridge some time before the rest of the men.
A series of these road runs will be held during the fall and all members of the University owning wheels are invited to join them.
