The secret practice began yesterday afternoon with a game between the 'varsity and B. A. A. It is understood that the 'varsity showed great improvement and scored a number of times.
Gierasch played on the 'varsity for the first time, doing some good work in Wrightington's place. C. Brewer was on the field, but Hayes took his place in the line-up. Both Haughton and Connor were tried at right tackle. Donald's injury is more serious than was at first supposed, and it is improbable that he will be able to play Saturday.
The line-up was:
HARVARD. B. A. A.
Cabot, Moulton, l. e. r. e., Butler.
Rice, l. t. r. t., R. Waters.
Holt, l. g. r. g., Lemoyne.
F. Shaw, Doucette, c. c., Russell.
N. Shaw, r. g. l. g., Wilson.
Haughton, r. t. l. t., B. Waters.
Connor, r. t.
Newell, r. e. l. e., Fay.
Beale, q. b. q. b., Graham.
Wrightington, l. h. r. h., Dudley.
Gierasch, l. h.
Hayes, r. h. l. h., Draper.
Fairchild, f. b. f. b., Curtis.
Dunlop, f. b.
Today the 'varsity will take a rest. Tomorrow they will play with the freshman eleven and also with B. A. A. Thursday there will be light practice and Friday the eleven will be given a complete rest.
