WORK INCREASED.

The most important change in the make-up of the first eleven yesterday was in putting Doucette at centre and Shaw at right guard. In case J. N. Shaw should not be able to play this year the change made yesterday may be made permanent. No satisfactory man has yet been found for right guard and as the more important games are drawing near it will be necessary soon to make some arrangement of the men that will be efficient.

The men played three halves instead of two as last week, and the play was almost as snappy as it was in the first half last Saturday. In the first half no touchdown was made by either side; in the second half each eleven made one touchdown; and in the third the first eleven made two touchdowns.

In the second half two long runs were made. The first was by Scott, who played on the lacrosse team last spring, and who came out to play football yesterday for the first time. The play was on the 20 yard line. Dunlop's drop kick was stopped by the second eleven and Scott got the ball on a bound. He ran 90 yards with it, being well defended by Wadsworth. Not until Scott had crossed the goal line was he tackled by Weld.

The other run was one of 50 yards made by Hayes. The second eleven had just put the ball in play in the middle of the field. On the second play someone fumbled and Hayes getting the ball carried it across the goal line with but little interference.

Arnold was tried at halfback on the first eleven yesterday. He played very well, although not so well as when he was on the second eleven last Thursday and Friday.

Hoague again came out to play centre on the second eleven for one half. Donald had recovered enough to play tackle for a time, but was tired out soon. Wrightington was dressed in his football clothes again but did not play.

Waters, Lewis and Cranston did some effective coaching yesterday.
