The practice of the 'varsity eleven yesterday afternoon showed no improvement whatever, in fact, there has been no perceptible improvement for some time. It is becoming very evident that some one is needed very much to take charge of the coaching and direct the efforts of the men.
The new interference in which the ends take part was tried again yesterday but without success. Twice the second eleven came very near scoring, but the first eleven never had any chance of making a touchdown. It was only towards the end of the long practice that the first eleven seemed to wake up at all.
The line-up was as follows:
FIRST. SECOND.
