The Longwood Cricket Club will give on its grounds at Longwood, Boston, a tournament for the championship of the State of Massachusetts, Saturday, June 16, and Monday, June 18, 1894.
The Longwood club invites all tennis clubs in the state to send representatives. Any player who has been a resident in the state for one year will be eligible to enter. A suitable emblem will be awarded to the winner.
The tournament will be played on ten grass courts. Play will begin Saturday, June 16, at 1 p. m., and will be continued Monday, June 18 (Bunker Hill Day), at 10 a. m. All matches will be best two in three sets, the third only being advantage.
Entries will be received up to 4 p. m., Friday, June 15, by P. E. Presbrhy, secretary Longwood Cricket Club, P. O. Box 2337, Boston, Mass., to whom, also, all communications in regard to the tournament should be addressed. An entrance fee of $1.00 should accompany each entry.
