The annual athletic meeting of the Interscholastic Association will be held this afternoon on Holmes Field at two o'clock under the auspices of the Harvard Athletic Association.

The meeting promises to be very closely contested, and there are 209 entries from 23 New England schools which is a large increase over the number of men entered last year. The interscholastic rules will govern and a handsome challenge cup goes to the school scoring the most points. It is thought that Hopkinson, Worcester Academy, Roxbury Latin and Brookline High will make the greatest fights for the first prize; with Hopkinson a slight favorite.

Paine, Hopkinson, who jumped so well at the second winter meeting is entered for five events; running high jump, putting 16 pound shot, throwing the hammer, running broad jump and throwing the base ball Much is expected of him, and without him Hopkinson could hardly be expected to win. Hallowell and Stevenson should also win first in the high and low hurdles respectively.

With Blakemore and Hoyt, Roxbury Latin should win the half mile and pole vault, and Driscoll of Brookline High is looked upon as a winner in the shot and hammer.

Fourteen events will be contested including eight track and six field. Mr. George B. Morrison of the Boston Athletic Association will referee the games and the following men will assist him in running the meeting:
