SECOND NINE 8 CAMBRIDGE A. C. 5

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The rain stopped the game between the juniors and freshmen yesterday, with the score three all. In the second '96 scored her first run, and in the third she added two by some clever work with the stick and on bases. The rain which had been falling in a slow drizzle, then quickened into a pelting shower. With the juniors at the bat in the fourth, the ball became so wet and slippery that the freshmen seemed unable any longer to handle it. They made four errors, and let three unearned runs come in. This tied the score, and, alter another inning had been played in the rain, the umpire called the game. Linfield kept up his good work, and made a phenomenal catch in the latter part of the game. E. Clark received a serious clip from the ball, and had to be carried from the field.

The score:

'94.
