The occasion of the athletic games for the indoor championship of New England will be one of unusual interest to Harvard men this year because the Harvard Athletic Association propose to enter a team to compete in every event. These games are to be held in the armory on Irvington Street, at 8 p.m., on March 11, under the auspices of the Technology and the First Regiment Athletic Association. The events open to the New England Association will be from the scratch. They will be as follows; 75 yards dash, one mile walk, running high jump, 600 yards run, 1,000 yards run, one mile run, pole vault, 70 yards hurdle (5 flights of 3 1-2 feet each). In addition there will be a class team race for Technology only, and a half-mile run in heavy marching order, open to all military organizations in New England. First, second, and third prizes will be given. The entries close on March 4.
Harvard's team will consist probably of from thirty to forty men, and will be chosen shortly before the games, in much the same manner as the Mott Haven team in the spring. As the games are important, it is very necessary that all who train should do so faithfully. There are only three weeks before the games and all candidates ought to feel bound to take good care of themselves. New candidates are especially urged to try, for men who seem to give good promise for the future are certain to be given a trial. In fact, this will be about the only opportunity to judge the men before the severe work of the spring.
