The game between ninety-four and ninety-five proved to be even closer than was anticipated and still leaves in doubt what was expected to be the deciding game of the class series.

Both teams played to their utmost ability and their earnestness never allowed the interest in the game to flag. The offensive work of both elevens was much more effective than their defensive play. Ninety-four showed a decided superiority over the juniors in their ability to form and execute "mass plays," while ninety-five counter-balanced this by the excellent work of their halfbacks. The revolving wedge was used repeatedly by the seniors, and generally with success, ninety-five being unable to break it up and destroy its effectiveness. Ninety five began the second half with the flying wedge and gained about fifteen yards.

The individual work of Bond and Williams for the seniors was exceptionally good, while Whittemore played by far the best game for ninety-five. Garrison, too, played unusually well. The seniors made most of their gains through Pierce, at right tackle, while the juniors went around ninety-four's end with comparative ease. The game commenced with the ball in possession of the juniors. By successive gains through the centre the juniors were enabled to reach the 15 yard line, where they were compelled to relinquish the ball. The seniors in turn pushed the ball down to the juniors' 30 yard line, making gains chiefly by the revolving wedge. Ninety-four lost the ball on four downs, but soon got possession of it by a fumble. Gardner made a gain of 30 yards through Pierce and in two more downs the seniors had scored a touchdown. Garrison failed to kick the goal. Ninety-four made 10 yards on the V. The revolving wedge was used to advantage and this play together with good gains by Gardner, Garrison and Borden around the ends, secured for ninety-four their second touchdown. Garrison kicked the goal. Time was called with the score 10-0 in favor of the seniors.

In the second half ninety-five had recourse to the flying wedge and gained 15 yards. Whittemore made a long gain around the end and scored the first touchdown for ninety-five. Miller kicked the goal. Score 10-6. The seniors lost the ball on four downs after gaining 20 yards, and on the first down Whittemore, assisted by the darkness, was enabled to evade Wrenn and Beals, and after a run of 65 yards, scored a second touchdown for ninety five. Miller failed to kick the goal and the score was tied. The teams lined up in the centre of the field and the seniors soon pushed the ball down to the 20 yard line. Time was called on account of darkness.

Bond, who was injured during the game, has water on the knee, and it will be impossible for him to play when the tie is played off.
