The question for debate this evening is, "Resolved, that the removal of the tax on state bank-notes and the issue of notes by such banks under the Federal supervision would be preferable to a continuance of the National Bank System." It will be debated on the affirmative by E. S. Page and H. Hutchinson, on the negative by Holmes Whitmore and W. Healy.

From the speakers at the competitive debate held last Friday, the judges reported favorably upon three names.

The meeting tonight will be held in University 16. It is open to members of the University.
