The Co-operative Society.

Yesterday the directors of the Harvard Co-operative Society held their last meeting for the current academic year. It was found that the sales both in Cambridge and in Boston have been larger than in 1896-97. The increase in the retail sales of the Cambridge department is about five thousand dollars, and the increase in the sales of the branch at the Medical School is about the same.

It was voted that Section 1 of the by laws be amended by adding the following words: "At the discretion of the Board of Directors, former members of the University, upon payment of one dollar for each fiscal year, may receive tickets that shall entitle them to all benefits of the society, except the right to vote for and to become officers of the society."
