Reception to New Members of the University.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Last Friday the CRIMSON published a notice of a reception to new members of the University to be given tonight in Sanders Theatre. Further details of the matter will doubtless be interesting. It should be distinctly understood that the reception is given by the Corporation and Board of Overseers as well as the committee on the reception of students. There will be short addresses by President Eliot, by members of the Corporation, and Board of Overseers, and by B. G. Waters '94, and Maynard Ladd '94. During the evening the University Glee Club will sing a number of songs. The theatre will be decorated with plants from the botanical gardens, furnished by Professor Goodale,

Professor Shaler, chairman of the committee, wishes it stated that evening dress is not expected or desired. After the exercises in Sanders, there will be a good opportunity for making acquaintances in the dining hall. Light refreshments will be served. Exercises will commence at 8 o'clock.
