University of Pennsylvania Exhibit to the World's Fair.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A space of 1500 square feet has been assigned the University of Pennsylvania for its exhibit at the World's Fair. Among other things there will be a complete exhibit of the articles found by the University exhibition to Babylonia two years ago. There is in this collection a stone recording the oldest known writing in the world, the date being 3800 B. C,, as well as seals and clay tablets representing the business life of that and succeeding periods. Another portion will show the important work recently done by the university in American Archaeology, especially in the Delaware valley, in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This portion of the exhibit will represent very fairly what is known of the aboriginal inhabitants of the Delaware valley, and is the most complete work that has been attempted. Dr. Abbott has charge of the American Archaeological museum, and Dr. Hilwecht that of the Babylonian. All the departments are to be represented as far as possible.
