Mr. Benjamin Kimball and Mr. W. S. Briggs awarded last evening the prizes offered by the Harvard Camera Club in their exhibition. In selecting the prize pictures the judges paid most attention to artistic merit though always requiring technical excellence.
The first prize was awarded to H. N. Greene '94; the second to E. James '95. The judges decided that the pictures of the second class were so few and so inferior to many of the first that they awarded the first offered for the second class, to W. I. Frothingham '94.
Honorable commendation was made of pictures exhibited by F. H. Cummings. '95, Prof. F. C. de Sumichrast, A. Lincoln '95, T. A. Jaggar '93, and to a picture of Blue Mountain on which there was no name.
The exhibition will be open this afternoon and evening.
