Dr. Tarbell has accepted the position of associate professor of Greek in the new Chicago University and will enter on his duties a year from next fall. Dr. Tarbell some time ago resigned his position at Harvard and accepted that of principal of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. He will be at Athens only next year, however, and will then go to Chicago. His connection with Harvard ceases at Commencement this year and he will sail for Europe the last of July.
Dr. Tarbell graduated from Yale in 1873 and was a teacher there for several years after that. He has since then been at Harvard where he has won a national reputation among educators.
In addition to his services in the Greek department at Chicago University, Dr. Tarbell will have charge of the department of classical archaeology.
