The second annual Interscholastic Tennis Tournament which begins this morning is the second largest tennis tournament which has ever been held in the United States, being second only to the Allcomer's, held last year at Newport, which had seventy-two entries. For the tournament today there are sixty-six entries. representing twenty-seven preparatory schools.
The play will begin promptly at ten o'clock and all the courts on Jarvis and Holmes will be reserved for the tournament. At noon a meeting will be held in 32 Matthews, to effect a permanent organization, and to elect officers for the ensuing year. The following committe is in charge of the tournament: W. D. Orcutt '92, chairman; V. M. Porter '92, and T. Hoppin '93. J. T. Whittelsey, Esq., Secretary of the United States National Lawn Tennis Association, will be the referee. Owing to lack of space the names of the contestants are omitted.
