At the regular meeting on Friday evening, H. F. Brown was selected, secretary and F. N. Robinson a member of the executive committee.

Mr. John Fiske gave a most interesting and entertaining address on the discovery of America, tracing the course of events which led finally to the voyages of Columbus and Vespuccius. The lecture was admirably if-lustrated by maps, showing the views about the earth's surface which were held by thinking men from the time of Ptolemy down to the 16th century.
