Some 1200 spectators, of whom three quarters were outside the fence witnessed the exhibition game with Dartmouth yesterday. The raw wind that swept across Jarvis Field was accountable for many of the errors made by both nines, but the playing was, on the whole, far from brilliant. The game was called promptly at four, with Dartmouth at the bat.

First Inning. For Dartmouth, after two men were out, Springfield got his base on balls, but was left on base by Quackenboss flying out to Litchfield. For Harvard, WiestIing and Beaman struck out; Tilden hit safely, stole second and third, and was left there when Allen fouled out to Artz.

Second Inning. Dartmouth went out in order. For Harvard, Nichols hit safely, stole second, took third on a passed ball, and came home on Foster's put-out; Litchfield struck out; Smith took his base on balls, went to third, where he was left; Foster went out, Chellis to Gove, and Winslow flied out to McCarthy.

Third Inning. For Dartmouth, Dillon reached first on a single, went to third on a wild pitch. and came in on Weeks' two bagger; Chellis struck out; Weeks hit for two bases, but was left on Springfield's fly to Litchfield. For Harvad, Wiesting reached first on an error, but misunderstanding the coaching, started for second, where he was caught; Beaman struck out; Tilden hit for two bases, and stole third, only to be left on base, as Allen struck out.

Fourth Inning. For Dartmouth. Quackenboss hit safely, stole second, and went to third on Scruton's put out; McCarthy hit safely, bringing in Quackenboss, but was himself caught napping at second by Allen; Scruton struck out. For Harvard, Nichols flied out, Litchfield struck out, and Smith hit for one base, only to be left on third by Foster's striking out.

Fifth inning. Dartmouth went out in order. For Harvard, Winslow struck safely, and stole second; Wiestling and Beaman went out; Tilden made a two bagger, bringing in Winslow. Allen went out, McCarthy to Gove, leaving Tilden on third.

Sixth inning. For Dartmouth, Springfield took first on Litchfield's error, stole second and third, but was left on base. For Harvard, Nichols flied out; Litchfield hit a beautiful three bagger to centre field, and came in on a passed ball; Smith and Foster flied out.

Seventh inning. For Dartmouth, McCarthy hit for two bases, but the next three men went out, leaving him on third. For Harvard, Winslow went out, Chellis to Gove; Wiestling got his base on balls; Beaman and Tilden went out, leaving Wiestling on third.

Eighth inning. For Dartmouth, Weeks hit safely, and Quackenboss reached first on an error, but both were kept from scoring. For Harvard, Allen struck out; Nichols flied out to Chellis, and Litchfield went out, McCarthy to Gove.

Ninth inning. Dartmouth went out in order.
