The following will be the rules of the tennis leagues:
1. Each player shall provide two good Wright and Ditson balls for each match.
2. Defaults will be allowed fifteen minutes after the scheduled time, unless the match is previously postponed by mutual consent.
3. In case any player drops out from either league, his place may or may not be filled, at the discretion of the Committee.
4. The matches shall be three sets out of five, vantage only on the fifth, each man playing every other man twice.
5. The matches will begin on the Monday following the recess.
6. The reserved courts may be signed for at the gymnasium by members of the leagues each Monday for any day or days during the week, and all courts not thus disposed of on the morning of the day to which they are assigned, may be signed for by any member of the University. Signing for courts will not hold for more than fifteen minutes after the scheduled time.
7. The committee extends to the following players the same privileges of the reserved courts as the members of the leagues enjoy: Professor John Williams White, W. L. Jennings Gr., P. S. Sears L. S., A. H. Brooks L. S., G. A. Hurd L. S., E. Wrenn '92, and R. D. Wrenn '95.
