Base Ball.

The Harvard nine played at its worst in the field yesterday afternoon, and presented Wilmington with ten unearned runs and an easily won game. The chill air could not account by any means for the ridiculously loose game which the Harvard fielders played. The men batted well and would have won if their fielding had not been utterly without excuse.

Neither side scored in the first. In the second Sullivan got his base on balls, stole second and was put out at third; Galligan got first on balls, second on Newell's sacrifice and home on Williams' hit; Newell got his base on Sullivan's out at third, second and third on William's hit and home on Linn's fumble of it; Williams took third on the play; Stein flied out; Nelson got his base on balls and tried to steal second; Upton threw to Dean, who muffed, and Williams came in from third. For Harvard Upton got his base on balls, stole second, took third on Hallowell's hit and scored on Frothingham's sacrifice.

In the third Lynch got his base on balls, reached third on Bates' wild throw to first and scored on Sullivan's hit; Sullivan hit to left field; Hallowell threw wild to the plate to catch Lynch and Sullivan reached third; Alward muffed a pop fly and Galligan took first; he started to steal second, Upton threw to Dean, and Sullivan came in.

In the fifth Harvard got three runs on singles by Linn and Trafford, a double by Alward, a passed ball and Upton's sacrifice. In the sixth Wilmington got two more runs on two hits, a base on balls, Upton's wild throw to third and a sacrifice. In the seventh she got three more runs on a double, three singles, a sacrifice and errors by Dean and Hallowell. In the ninth Harvard got a run on an error and Howland's three bagger. The score:
