The matrons at the Deutscher Verein reception last night were Mrs. L. B. R. Briggs, Mrs. H. C. G. von Jagemann, Mrs. H. K. Schilling, Mrs. Dr. Max. Poll. Miss Wenckebach, German professor at Wellesley was present with about fifty Wellesley students, Addresses were made by the president, L. A. E. Ahlers and Professor Francke, and music was furnished by a double quartette from the glee club and five members of the mandolin club.
