The first meeting given under the auspices of the Harvard Republican Club, will be held this evening at 7.45 in Sanders Theatre. This meeting is the first of a series to be given during the winter, and ought to be a most successful one in every way. Hon. F. T. Greenhalge, of Lowell, who is to address the club, is one of the brightest and most able speakers in the state, and his address will be without doubt exceedingly interesting. Mr. Greenhalge will speak on "The Republican Party - its Principles and Purposes Today."
A large number of prominent Republicans of Boston and vicinity have been invited to sit on the platform, and the Glee Club will sing during the evening. The meeting will have additional interest, since it is held on the anniversary of the birth of one of the most noble Republicans the country has ever had, Abraham Lincoln.
