A meeting of the Conference Francaise was held last evening, at which Mr. C. C. Batchelder, '89, read a very interesting paper on "The Carnot Family." Following the paper was an informal discussion of the play to be given next spring. It was decided to give two short plays if possible, of which "Les Deux Sourds" will probably be one.
Those wishing to take part in the theatricals will please send their names to H. F. Stout, 11 Holyoke House, and as the play will be given either the last of April or the first of May it is desirable that names be sent as soon as possible. As soon as the names of candidates are received, a time will be appointed for a trial, and immediately after the parts will be assigned and the rehearsals be commenced. In view of the success of last year's play, it is hoped that much interest will be taken this year, and that many men will present their names as candidates.
