W. H. P. Oliver '92 has left college.

The next foot ball meeting will be held Tuesday evening. P. D. Trafford '89, one of Harvard's best known graduates of recent years, will be present to speak.

Prof. W. M. Nevin, professor of Ancient Languages in Franklin and Marshall, and the oldest college instructor in active service in the U. S., died on Thursday, aged 86.

It is predicted that Leland Stanford, Jr., University will need financial assistance in a few years. The plans are said to have been laid out on too expensive a scale - Ex.

Oberlin proposes to reproduce the Olympic games at her field day. Many ancient sports will be introduced, laurel wreaths given to the victors, and robed heralds will announce the events.

The trustees of Columbia College have decided finally to purchase, as the new site for the University, the tract of land between Morningside Park and Amsterdam Avenue, and the lines of 116 and 120th Streets.

J. C. Morse '84, of the Herald has just issued a new and improved pocket score book which will prove very convenient for all base ball scorers. The space has been so economized that the pages will hold a much more complete score than usual. Amee has it for sale.

The Yale Boat Club has contracted with Waters of Troy for a racing shell for this year's 'varsity crew. The boat will be 60 feet long, 24 inches wide and 9 inches deep amidships. It will be made upon a new model, which, Mr. Waters thinks, will increase its speed.

The Rev. W. H. Thomas, D. D., Lowell, a former pastor in this city will preach in Appleton Chapel tomorrow (Sunday), at 10.30 a. m. under the auspices of the North Avenue M. E. Church, on exchange with Mr. Cheney. Dr. Thomas is an able and eloquent preacher and it will well repay the students and others to hear him.
