At the monthly meeting of the Athletic Committee Tuesday night the arrangements made by the committee of Harvard and Yale graduates and undergraduates for the annual contests between the two universities in track and field athletics for the cup offered by graduates were approved. It will be remembered that the arrangements provide for alternate meetings in Cambridge and some place to be named by Yale. At the meeting in New York it was learned that Yale will probably select New York rather than New Haven. "This being so the existence of the New England rule" brought the whole matter under the jurisdiction of the Athletic Committee. The favorable action of this committee settles it that the first annual meeting will be held on Holmes Field, May 16. The events contested will be the same as at the intercollegiate meeting except that the tug-of-war will be omitted. The full text of the agreement which is to govern these meetings will be published in a few days.
