The New Dean.

At a meeting of the Harvard Overseers on Wednesday it was voted to concur with the President and Fellows in the appointment of Professor Le Baron Russell Briggs as Dean of the College. Professor Briggs was nominated by the Corporation and this action of the Overseers makes his appointment final. Professor Smith will probably continue as Dean until after Commencement, when Professor Briggs will take the position.
