In response to the call issued by Captain Kelton, the candidates for the University crew met last night in the trophy room of the gymnasium. Of last year's eight, Kelton, Vail, Rantoul, Newell, Powers, Cummings and Jones were present. Lynam was not at the meeting but will row.
The other candidates were not many but several have rowed in their class crews. The new men are mostly mature, of good weight, and Captain Kelton regarded the material as very promising.
