The spring road race of the Harvard Bicycle club will be held next Saturday afternoon at the Chestnut Hill Reservoir. The course is six times around the reservoir, seven miles in all. This will be a handicap race, with very liberal handicaps, especially to those who have never ridden in races before. The race is open to all members of the University, but prizes will be awarded to those members only who are members of the Bicycle club. The prizes will consist of handsome silver cups, and their number will depend altogether upon the number of entries. As there are to be three scratch men and liberal handicaps there ought to be a large number of entries, which can be made to Kenneth Brown, 43 Brattle St. Entries can be made any day prior to the race, but it is desirable that they be made by Friday noon, so that the management can have time to properly arrange the handicaps.
