In the games at Staten Island last Saturday, Harvard won three first, one second and one third prize. Two records were broken. Below are the events in which Harvard was successful.
One hundred yard run, handicap, E. B. Bodley, Harvard, 41/2 yards, first 10 1-5 seconds; C. H. Sherrill, Yale College, at scratch, second by 1 foot; H. K. Zeust, 8 1-2 yards, N. J. A. C., third.
Match race-One quarter mile for a special prize, presented by the Staten Island Athletic Club, W. C. Dohm, Princeton, won in 51 seconds; W. C. Downes, Harvard second.
Quarter mile run, handicap, final heat-W. H. Wright, Harvard, 20 yards won in 50 4-5 seconds, S. I. Wicklow, Rutherford. second; and E. B. Hinckley, Yale College, third.
Two hundred and twenty yards run, handicap final heat-S. V. R. Crosby, 12 yards, won in 22 3-5 seconds; J. H. Tragresser, Olympic A. C. 18 yards, second, and F. A. Robinson, Yale A. A., 3 yards third.
Half-mile run, handicap, final heat-A. S. Vosborugh, S. I. A. C., 32 yards, won in 1 min. 58 4-5 sec.; A. L. Reynolds, Yale, A. A., 28 yards second; A. M. White Harvard, 65 yards, third.
