Last Saturday evening the Intercollegiate FootBall association held a meeting at the Fifth avenue hotel, New York, to discuss the changes made by the advisory committee last March. Yale was represented by W. H. Corbin, '89, and C. O. Gill, '89; Harvard by J. H. Sears, '89, and A. J. Cumnock, '91; Princeton by F. S. Miller, '90, K. L. Ames, '90, and J. S. Black, '91; Wesleyan by A. E. Hancock,'90; Wesleyan by A. E. Hancock, '90; the University of Pennsylvania was not represented. The following officers for the Intercollegiate FootBall association were elected for the ensuing year: President, the captain of the Yale team; secretary, K. L. Ames, Princeton; treasurer. A. J. Cumnock, Harvard. The following changes in the rules made by the advisory committee, with a few small corrections, were adopted by the delegates:

To rule 4 (a) was added the words "either in goal or touch in goal."

Rule 15 is amended by the addition of section (c) to read, "Both umpire and referee shall use whistles to indicate cessation of play on fouls and downs. The reface shall use a stop watch in timing the game."

Rule 16-Add section (b)-"Time shall not be called for the end of a three-quarter until the ball is dead, and in case of a try-at-goal from a touchdown, the try shall be allowed. Time shall be taken out while the ball is being brought out either for a try, kickout or kick-off."

The following interpretation is added to Rule 25: "The side which has the ball can only interfere with the body. The side which has not the ball can use the hands and arms as heretofore."

Rul 27-Altered to read as follows: (a) "a player shall be disquailfied for unnecessary roughness, hacking, or striking with the closed fist."

(b) "For the offences of throttling, tripping up, or intentional tackling below the knees, the opponents shall receive twenty-five yards, or a free kick, at their option. In case, however, the twenty-five yards would carry the ball across the goal line they can have half the distance from the spot of the offence to the goal line, and no free kick is allowed."

Section (b) as follows is added to rule 33, "The placer in a try-at-goal may be off side or in touch, without vitiating the kick."

In the constitution to Article IV Sec. 1, is added: "except in the case of Harvard's being one of the leading colleges, in which case the place shall be settled by mutual agreement." Article VIII was changed to read: "printing of the rules shall be done by the secretary of the advisory committee."
