After a consideration of some months the authorities have come to the conclusion that the present system of janitorships is in many respects defective, and they have therefore decided to introduce a new system next fall. By the new arrangement one man will be given the entire charge of all the buildings, and will have direct power to hire and supervise the assistant janitors and goodies. This will require the present office of janitor for each building to be dispensed with, and will be a much simpler and more direct method of government than the present one.
