The Finance Club held a meeting last evening in U. 13. It was expected that Mr. Charles Francis Adams, Jr., would address the meeting, but owing to an unforeseen engagement, he was unable to fulfill his appointment, and Professor Taussing took his place. Prof. Taussig read a paper on the causes which lead to the seeming incongruity of freight rates. It is probable that Mr. Adams will lecture before the club next Tuesday evening. The following men were elected members from '89: Nields, J. S. Stone, Surbridge and Paul.
