Princeton's Nine.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The outlook for a good nine this year at Princeton is very good. The candidates began training last Monday in the gymnasium, and although a very large number did not present themselves, the material is very promising. In Mercer Hall a good substitute has been found for the cage, which was destroyed last year. Although Mercer Hall is rather small, it is much better than the old cage in the gymnasium, and as it is out of the question to rebuild the cage this winter, Mercer Hall will have to suffice. The hall has been turned into an excellent handball court, and is plenty large enough to permit battery practice. The candidates will continue to practice indoors daily until the weather will permit out-door playing, and they will in all probability be under the immediate supervision of Arthur Irwin of the Philadelphias.
