The spring regatta of the Yale Boat Club was held last Saturday on Lake Saltonstall. The weather was cold and rainy but the water was very smooth.
The single scull race of one mile and a half was won by Gill, '88, in 7m. 41s.
The four oared barge race between fat men and lean men, three quarters of a mile, was one by the fat men in 4m. 47s.
In the eight oared shell race, two miles straight-away, between the juniors, sophomores and freshmen, the sophomores were victorious, with the freshmen a close second. The time was 11m., 40s.
The 'varsity crew gave an exhibition pull of two miles, rowing in beautiful form. They covered the distance in 11m. 39s.
