Hare and Hounds.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The first fast hare and hounds run of the season will take place this afternoon, starting from the steps of Matthews as soon after 4 o'clock as recitations will allow.

To those who do not know the difference between the fast and slow hunts, it will be well to say that in the fast hunt, instead of having a break at the finish, the hounds are allowed to run as they please all the way, and thus dispense with a master of hounds. This, of course makes the fast hunt the easier of the two, as a man is not obliged to keep with the crowd, but can set his own pace in harmony with his own strength. The hares in today's run will be C. A. Davenport, '90, and W. P. Downs, '90.
