A meeting of the Conference Francaise was held last night in the society's rooms. Two new members were initiated and read their parts. F. B. Lemann '92, presented a paper on Victor Hugo's Quatre-vingt-treize and W. F. Giese, Gr., one on Old and New France.

The speaker of the evening was Mr. F. De Bos whose subject was the Jesuits. He gave a sketch of the history of the founder of the order, Loyola, and of the society and told many amusing anecdotes.
