The game Saturday with Princeton was close and exciting. Both sides played a fine, steady game, but batted weakly. Princeton, outside of Bickham's bases on balls, played a perfect game.
The game was called at 2.56 with Duffield at the bat. The first two men struck out. Bickham made a hit, stole second, and came in on Reynold's single. Allen, in trying to touch Bickham, dropped the ball, and Reynolds went to third, and came in on a passed ball. In the 5th inning Larkin made a hit, stole second, went to third on Brownlee's hit, and came home on a ???umble. Harvard had hard luck in having men left on bases. For the Fourth, after two were out, Henshaw and Edgerley hit safely, but were left on second and third by the next man ???riking out. Two men were left on bases in the eighth. Foster made a ??? in the ninth inning, and reached third, but was put out on the plate trying to score on Edgerly's grounder by a neat double play.
The features of the game was the fine work of both batteries. Allen caught a superb game, and Wiestling and Taylor each made fine plays.
