About 400 spectators witnessed a poorly played game yesterday afternoon between Harvard and Tufts. Harvard came very near being defeated, the score at the end of the eighth inning standing 6 to 5 in favor of Tufts. The ninth was played almost in darkness. By three errors, a single and a home run, Harvard scored four runs. The game was dull and uninteresting; both teams fielded wretchedly and batted worse. Harvard's errors were very costly and the game was won entirely by luck.
HARVARD.
