Yesterday afternoon was far from inviting, and the rain kept away many members, and the rain kept away many members who had intended to shoot for the cup. It was thought best, however, not to postpone the matches, as quite a number of men wished to go out to Watown for an afternoon's sport. At 2.30 P. M. the first match was called, and eight names were entered in the competition.

The contest for the cup resulted in another victory for Mr. Slocum, this being his second winning.

The summary is as follows:

Match 1, five balls. First, Palmer; second, F Austin, Allen, Foster, Slocum.

Match 2, fifteen balls, Walnut Hill Cup match. First, Slocum, 13; second, Palmer, 11.

Match 3, five pigeons. First, Slocum; second, Allen; third, F. Austin.

Match 4, five pigeons. First, Allen; second, Palmer; third, F. Austin.

Match 5, five pigeons. First, Austing; second, Allen; third, Goodwin.

Match 5, five pigeons. First, Palmer, Slocum; second, Austin; third, Allen.

Match 7, five pigeons. First, Palmer; second, Allen, Austin; third, Slocum.

Match 8, five balls. First, Allen; second, Austin, Palmer, Slocum.

The next meet at Waternoon will be Thursday, April 10th.
