"Hernani" a musical burlesque is to be produced in New York during the vacation by members of the Hasty Pudding Club. The programme includes two performances, and the proceeds are to be given to the boat club.

Tennis promises to be more popular than ever here this spring. Already preparations are being made by the Country Club for a tournament in which several Harvard men are expected to enter.

Out of the five events which were decided at the winter meeting on Saturday '85 won three and '86 won two. '84 and '87 each won one second prize. This makes the standing for the pennant '85 six first prizes, '86 three first, '84 two first and one second, and '87 one first and one second.

Ex-Governor Stanford, of California has given $500 to the library of the American school at Athens. A rumor, seemingly well founded, was current at Athens, that Mr. Standford had offered the Greek government $50,000 for one to the columns of the temple of Olympian Zeus. It is needless to say that the offer was not accepted.
