It is said that Rev. E. E. Hale will soon start on a trip for Europe.

The city of Cambridge is endeavoring to secure a bronze group to fill the vacant niche in the soldiers' monument on the common.

The funeral of Hon. Chas. Hale, '50, occurred Saturday. Mr. Hale was a brother of Rev. E. E. Hale, and was formerly editor of the Advertiser.

The great walking match is finally ended, and spring suits of sackcloth and ashes are now in order for the unfortunate ones who had so much confidence in "Rowell stock" the first of last week.

Mary Anderson visits New Haven this week, but as Geraldine Ulmar has just been there Mary needn't expect to mash the Yale boys. This country may as well learn that there's no use bucking against Boston talent. - [Post.
